This linen chenille is a waste product from a Swedish linen mill that produces lots of different linen towels. I bought too much and then enjoyed finding uses for it, mostly in different rugs and cushions. The grey silk of my old Liberty skirt set off the soft pile texture and the pink-white colourway. So the cushion became a truly repurposed artefact!

Full description
Pink striped square envelope cushion, 14 x 14 inches with a duck feather pad. It was handwoven on a cotton warp using linen chenille, cotton tape and silk strips. The steel grey silk in the main weave and borders came from a pleated silk Liberty skirt. It is a one-off as all the other cushions in this series found homes rather quickly.
