I'm Carol, and I hand knit and crochet baby clothes, blankets, hats and little gifts from my home in Kent.
Knittingtopia is now focusing on handmade pieces for babies and little ones, with lots of cosy knits, colourful crochet and one-of-a-kind makes appearing in the shop.

Full description
A matching mum and baby crochet hat set, handmade by me in pastel blue with bobble flower details and removable faux fur pom poms.
I crocheted these coordinating beanies in soft 100% acrylic yarn, with one adult hat and a smaller hat to fit newborn babies up to approximately 3 months. They're a fun matching set for winter walks and mum and baby photos, and would also make a thoughtful baby shower or new mum gift.
Each hat has a raised bobble flower worked into the crochet and is finished with a fluffy blue faux fur pom pom. The pom poms fasten with a hidden button and elastic, so they can be removed before the hats are washed.
Size
Adult: approximately 23-24 inch (58.5-61 cm) head circumference
Baby: newborn to approximately 3 months
Materials and care
Hats: 100% acrylic
Pom poms: faux fur
Remove the pom poms before washing.
Machine wash the hats at 30°C on a gentle cycle.
Spot clean the pom poms and fluff them with a gentle blast from a hairdryer on a cool setting.
Keep away from fire.
Please regularly check the buttons for looseness and the hats for signs of wear and tear.
