I've always found the idea of giving flowers fascinating! I came across some history about it and the tradition of gifting flowers can be traced back all the way to the Ancient Greeks. They associated flowers with gods and would bring floral offerings to temples.
I wanted to incorporate this idea into my handmade gift bags, where the symbol of a flower was placed onto a pouch, which would hold a gift and could be reused over and over again.

HISTORY AND SYMBOLISM
- Roses are England’s national flower. In the fifteenth century, they represented two important families — the Lancasters and the Yorks. The War of the Roses occurred in England between 1455 and 1487 when the house of Lancaster, represented by a red rose, and the house of York, represented by a white rose, competed with each other to rule England.
- Pink roses symbolize gratitude, grace, admiration, and joy.
FAQs: HOW ARE THE POUCHES SUSTAINABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY?

- The ribbon has been manufactured from recycled yarns.
- The fabric has been printed using ECOCERT GOTS certified inks.
- They are reusable therefore eliminating the need for single-use wrapping paper, plastic, cellophane and other plastics that take nearly 500 years to decompose.
