Being hugely influenced by the beautiful painting of ‘Ophelia’, by Sir John Everett Millais, Six Acre Meadow was born out of an obsession with all things feminine, whimsical but most importantly, sustainable.
I started making pouches for family & friends using remnant fabrics saved from my Fashion Design degree 14 years ago as a fresh graduate, to help compartmentalize the items in handbags and around the home, but mostly as an alternative to disposable packaging. I later started to offer themed and personalized versions which were purchased by other small businesses as a way to beautifully present their own products and from individuals who wanted to give 'a little extra' when gifting.
My background in Fashion Design with a whimsical style of design and passion in sustainability is showcased through the pouches where fabrics used are Eco-certified and made with thoughtful consideration to the planet.
