I've been making dreamcatchers since childhood, using twigs, cotton, buttons, shoe laces, old clothes - anything I could find that could be worked into a web.
I love the story behind dreamcatchers, many claim that they trap negative dreams, holding safely onto them until the sun can burn them away with her pure morning light.
The Native American people are thought to have always been inherently connected to our beautiful planet, having a huge respect for nature and the flow of the seasons, their hearts beating with the rhythms of our earth,
When constructing these pieces, I have a sense of ethereal calm and wellbeing which has always been present since I made my very first dream catcher as a little girl.

Full description
The ‘Jamila” dreamcatcher is an uncomplicated, somewhat ‘boho’ piece, made from recycled Sari silk, lace, and sheer ribbon. Gold thread criss-crosses over the fabric frame, and wooden beads secure the fabric strips in place.
This piece comes with two pretty matching bangles, using the same Sari fabric. Recycled materials make up the inner core. The bangles also feature dainty seed beads. They are a small size (roughly 2.25 inches in diameter), suitable for dainty wrists.
INTRODUCTORY PRICE: £34.00
Because our materials come from a variety of sources, many of which are repurposed, recycled, donated, gifted, traded with other artisans, or picked up in charity shops and local fayres, every product we make is unique. Sometimes, we will do a limited series of items which are similar, but for the most part, Earth Hut products are One Of A Kind (OOAK).
Dimensions are approximate. Length measured from top ring to the bottom of lowest hanging element:
Length: 18 inches
Ring Diameter: 9 inches
Bangles are softly padded with roughly an inner diameter of 2.5 inches.
The base material for the rings is sustainable bamboo.
This item will be supplied in eco-friendly packaging.
