I've lived on the coast of Northumberland where I was born & raised, As an animal lover, my inspiration comes from nature so I mainly paint animals, birds & flowers as these are my favorite subjects, I love the characteristics and variety of colours nature provides us.
I also love to paint pet portraitures for clients which have included cats, dogs, rabbits, birds & even a tortoise.
I Use Daniel Smith watercolours with my artwork and prefer high-quality cold press 300g/m 140lb paper.

Painted on 300gsm 140lb Arches fine grain 100 % cotton paper 23x31cm
I prefer cold press paper with its natural, harmonious grain, which is suited to the majority of the techniques I use on my subject matters.
It reflects the light and gives the pigments a sublimely transparent effect,
All my paintings come unframed I recommend using a border to frame your artwork this stops the glass from touching the painted surface which will prolong the life of the artwork.
