I really like contemporary still life artists like Debbie George, and I wanted to do a series of work that had a retro feel to it. I really admire the work of the ceramic designer John Clappison, so I decided to focus on his work. The mug in this print is my version of his brilliant Newsprint Tiger. The summer flowers are dwarf dahlias and asters.

I painted this image on my iPad using Procreate in Summer 2022, when the weather was beautiful. I wanted to do a series of summer flowers in retro mugs and I decided to do two pieces in the daytime and two at night.
If you look carefully on this print you will see the sheep grazing in the sunshine on the hill in the distance!

My digital artwork was professionally printed on recycled A4 250GSM paper. The paper measures 297mm x 210mm, while the actual artwork measures approximately 255mm x 180mm.
I try my hardest to post prints within 24 hours of receiving your order (orders received at the weekend are normally posted on Mondays, with the exception of Bank Holidays).
Your print will be wrapped in tissue paper and posted by Royal Mail 2nd Class in an A4 "Do Not Bend" envelope to protect it from damage.
