Garnet is the traditional birthstone for Capricorn and the month of January.
The term Garnet actually applies to a group of minerals that are related in composition and structure, but differ in colour.
The dark red that we most associate with Garnet is known as Pyrope Garnet, like the nuggets I have used here.
The lighter, more raspberry pink of the bicones is known as Rhodolite Garnet.
Garnet can also be found in green, orange, purple and black.
Garnet is the stone for the second wedding anniversary.

Clusters of dark red pyrope Garnet nuggets are bracketed by 4.5mm AA faceted rhodolite Garnet bicones, highlighted with 2.5mm sterling silver spacer beads and separated by trios of 5mm Swarovski 'powder rose' glass pearls.
The pyrope Garnet is a deeper, darker red than the raspberry-hued rhodolite beads.
The Swarovski pearls are a complementary shade of dusky pink and have a lovely sheen.
This dainty stretch bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm).
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
