I came up with the design for this cafetiere blanket after a friend complained that she could never keep her coffee warm for long because the cosy she had for it wasn't a very good fit.
I wanted to create a cosy that covered as much of the jug as possible while still making it easy to pour the coffee. It needed to be a neat fit and look good too!

Harris Tweed cafetiere blanket.
Handmade in Scotland.
The cafetiere blanket is made in a grey speckled Harris Tweed twill. It fits a standard, bodum style, 8 cup cafetiere which is the 34oz (1L) size. (This size has a jug diameter of approximately 4"/10cm.)
The blanket features a front notch for the spout and is designed to fully cover the jug. It has an addiitonal two layers of insulation to keep your coffee as warm as possible. It fastens in the back with three wooden buttons and elastic loops.
The cafetiere blanket measures approximately 12.5" (33cm) by 7" (18cm).
Each blanket carries an Harris Tweed Authority orb label to authenticate the Harris Tweed fabric.

Harris Tweed is made from 100% virgin wool, dyed, spun and hand-woven by the islanders at their own homes and finished in the Outer Hebrides. Taking their inspiration from the surrounding landscapes and seascapes they create a wonderful range of colours and patterns that are perfectly suited to both traditional and modern uses.
All Harris Tweed cloth is approved by the Harris Tweed Authority inspectors, stamped with the famous Orb mark and issued with the woven orb label to authenticate it.
