One-off luxury grocery shopping bag. Each bag is made with a unique combination of fabrics. This lovely combo has a green fabric with a simple white flower print on the exterior. The interior is made with pink paisley quilted onto denim panels, for sturdiness and also so that, when the softer paisley fabric eventually wears through, section by section between the quilting lines, beneath it there is denim waiting to reveal itself and give the bag a new lease of life! Blue, purple and green top stitching complements the colours of the fabrics and adds bright accents.

I love this cute market bag design by michellepatterns (michellepatterns.com). Reinforced seams give the bag strength and durability. The handles open wide for easy access to a spacious interior that accommodates plenty. Over time the corners lay flat so the bag holds a boxy shape at the base easily. This foldable bag is easy to store. Great for grocery shopping, as a work bag, picnic bag, beach bag – whenever you are out and about.

To quilt the interior, I repurposed jeans to make the backing panels under the paisley fabric. Denim is so sturdy, as is the exterior green cotton fabric (which was previously part of a curtain), which gives this bag much durability. The pink and green make a wonderfully zingy colour combination.
