Sewing bags using repurposed upcycled fabrics

I love to work with repurposed fabrics as an antidote to throw-away culture. Often barely used or very lightly worn, preowned household linens such as tablecloths and curtains can offer years of service when upcycled into grocery shopping bags or tote bags. I make each bag with a fresh combination of fabrics and stitch colours, so every customer receives a completely unique, lovingly handmade bag. While no two bags are the same, the fabrics appear in different combinations so you can mix and match products to create a bespoke set. Why not mark a special occasion by giving each member of a friendship group or family their own gorgeous version of this useful bag?

All the bags I make are reinforced with double- or tripple-stitched seams for strength and durability. They are great for groceries, work, picnic, beach, whenever you are out and about.

All sewn items are stitched on a vintage Singer sewing machine made in 1955.

Please note that, with repurposed fabrics, the composition of the material is not always available when I acquire them, in which case I provide my best guesses in the item descriptions.

Occasionally, I also sell one-off items like scarves or hats that I weave on a rigid-heddle loom or knit, sometimes using yarn I spin myself from alpaca fleece (the charming alpacas who donate their fleeces to my crafting cause are called Jeff and Graham) and dye using natural dye stuffs.
