I was commissioned by the Whitchurch Conservation Group (WCG) to paint the official Watership Down Trail illustration for their trail leaflet and publicity.
Designed in collaboration with WCG, this is the only long distance trail. It is a long walk but you can walk it in sections

Illustrated to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the publication (Nov 2022) of the wonderful book by Richard Adams (ex-Whitchurch resident) and the 50th anniversary of the creation of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the setting for the story.
This official trail illustration explores the wider landscape over which the story roamed, taking the walker to some of the actual locations in the book.
Can you spot Efrafa, Nuthanger Farm, the river Test, Watership Down where the rabbits finally safely settled, and wild flowers that gave the rabbits their names?
Open edition Giclee print, individually titled and signed by myself. The original painting is created with pen and ink with watercolour.
