The inspiration came from March Muses and yes why would all angels be blonde and blue eyed ? So taking further inspiration from black American primitives I came up with this Angel . Xx

Full description
Black American primitive angel has been made without a pattern - I drew the body parts onto the fabric and then stitched , so she is completely unique. After stitching , stuffing and assembling , I then painted her with black acrylic paint and when dry gave her a good old sanding. Her features are made from a mix of cotton and wool and have been randomly stitched. Her hair is strips of wool fabric stitched to herhead. She has then had a coat of coffee and cinnamon to give her an aged appearance and then lightly sanded again. Her dress is cotton sheeting ,trimmed with a broderie anglais ruff and from her waist tie is a painted star and heart . She wears little wool socks ,has a crown trimmed with rusty bells and has rusty wire wings and I think that's it !
Angel is sold as a collectable and is not suitable for children.
She is about 44 cms tall and is about 27cms sitting.
