Full description
This textile draughts game has a natural cream- coloured linen backed board with a cotton, taupe- coloured, embroidered face. The lighter squares are worked in cream , in seed stitch. The pieces are covered in crocheted cotton, the darker pieces in taupe and other lighter ones are cream.There is an extra piece in each colour. The drawstring bag is made from a Lewis and Wood linen in a leaf design on a cream background . It has a taupe,soft cotton lining. I have added the word ‘draughts’ in simple red embroidery.
This draughts game not only very attractive but also light weight and easily portable. It would make an unusual gift, great for travel.
As my work is handworked, no two pieces are exactly alike.
I could personalise this game by embroidering a name on the bag or board border.I would charge £2.50 extra for this.
