A nice big tablespoon (serving spoon) with the classic slogan KEEP CALM & CARRY ON in block capitals in the bowl. It's about 8.5" (21cm) long, with a plain 'old english' style handle. The perfect gift for a cook you know, or just a mood-booster for yourself. If your recipe calls for a tablespoonful of something, this is the size of spoon you'll need to measure it out.
This listing is for ONE spoon. You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. The lettering is coloured with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic ink. Wash carefully by hand as the colour is not indestructible - the lettering, however, is stamped into the metal and should last pretty much as long as the spoon does.
Please note that although this spoon is still solid, sound, heavy and perfectly useable, it is a vintage one - I would guess it's 1940s - so it's lost some of its original silver plating and is worn, scratched, dented, tarnished and discoloured. If that sort of thing bothers you then this may not be the spoon for you. This spoon has been around a bit and has character. It's a survivor. If you were looking for a mirror-finished brand new spoon, this isn't one. Just so you know. It is, however, perfectly useable for measuring, stirring, folding-in, basting, doling out mashed potato, or fending off premature bowl-lickers. At a pinch it would serve as a bike tyre lever or a small gardening trowel as well.
