This beautiful handwoven wall hanging has been woven on a table loom and made using a variety of yarns, some wool and others acrylic. The colours and textures of these yarns help me replicate the patterns and shapes of nature, the sea and its waves, sand, coastline and hills beyond.

Measurements:
Length from dowel to bottom (this doesn’t include the drop from the top of the cord hanging): approximately 27"
Width of dowel: approximately 16"
Width of wall hanging at widest point (approximate where hanging is shaped): 13"

I’ve tried to take photos that depict the colours as accurately as possible but inevitably there will be some variation with what you see on your screen and the real item. However, the good news is the photos don’t do this wall hanging justice, so I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

I love creating quality handwoven wall hangings and have several different sized table looms, so I can make a variety of sizes depending on the subject. There is something about the colours and textures of the different yarns available that really inspires me, and considering how to apply them to a composition is such fun. I take inspiration from the places I've visited, my garden and nature generally. Sometimes I also add additional handmade yarn flowers, beads, lace and ribbons to these hangings to add more texture and use embroidery for further detail.
