PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Ceramic discovered
The River Tees
Barnard Castle
October 2022
Re-Created into
Pendant November 2022
I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. There’s a small patch of ground beside the River Tees that gets boggy and drenched during heavy rains. The downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells.
I found a chunky piece of ceramic with a distinctive pattern. The shape of the shard suggested a vase or bowl and through the dirt I could see a bird. After a clean I gently clipped the piece to break off the damaged sides. This created the shape of the decoration. Front and back glaze in tact, sides smoothed and sealed with eco friendly non toxic matt sealant. Hanging decoration supplied with a choice of cord or twine.
The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect or highly polished. Instead, retain some of the original condition, including marks and scratches, all part of the shards unique history.
Measures approximately 47mm x 36mm x 5mm
44cm plus 5cm extender fabric cord and also includes recycled twine.
Delivered in gift box, gift bag made with recycled materials and comes with short bio.
