You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
You can cancel the order and get a refund from the maker within seven days after receipt of the item, provided the item has not been used. Faulty items can be returned within six months of payment being made. However, if the item has been returned from a location outside of the UK, any custom charges incurred will be taken from the refund. Fabric cut to order and embroidered artwork cannot be returned unless faulty.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This hand embroidered tree was designed with the Art Nouveau style in mind. The art work features a stylised tree worked in silk floss and metal thread on a satin background. The silk flosses. which are made to order by a small family run business of silk throwsters, are in a range of pink, purple and mauve shades for the leaves and green silk floss for the root of the tree. Metal thread in a beautiful silver plated pearl purl, produced by one of the only two remaining metal thread manufacturers in the UK, has been used for the tree branches and leaf outlines. The silk floss with its lovely sheen, combines beautifully with the silver metal thread.
Each piece is presented mounted to represent a tile, raised on an inset white mount, signed and framed in a white wooden box frame. A label on the back of the frame provides information about my career to date and the process behind the making of each piece.
