Full description
This one of a kind decorative bowl is completely handmade by me from salvaging an apple log from the forest to applying a fine coat of varnish.
The first vision was a hollow form, then it fell off the lathe and broke, and I just couldn`t throw it away. After sitting in the workshop for a few months, one day it just materialized into this unique wabi sabi style bowl. This rustic wooden bowl has been scorched according to the Shou Sugi Ban Japanese technique.
The body is made of wild apple wood, reinforced with up-cycled metal wire. The front metal is upcycled section of a sheep fence. The lid is made of softwood with a brick on top. Legs are handmade as well, by forging metal to a high temperature, bending it and forming these cute legs.
Approx dimensions:
diameter: 16 cm, 6.5 inches
height: 16 cm, 6.5 inches
This farmhouse cottage wooden bowl will be dispatched using reclaimed box and wrapping materials.
