Hello and welcome to our shop. Here you'll find a range of original ideas, unique gifts and pretty cards to help celebrate every occasion. From paintings and prints to miniatures and greetings cards, they're all designed and handmade by me in my Herefordshire studio. I hope you find something you like.
You can be sure we send out items promptly, usually within a day of receiving your order - however because of new packing regulations WE CAN NO LONGER DELIVER TO SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES - they include Germany, Austria, France, Luxemburg, Lithuania, Poland, Greece and Spain. Any order that inadvertently requests delivery to affected countries will be cancelled and refunded. We are very sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
I love cards and keep favorite ones sent to me over the years. This card makes a very nice alternative Christmas Card and reminds us of Britain's ancient Pagan past when Winter Solstice was the major celebration of the year. The standing stones of Britain are spectacular and even today retain a sense of 'spirit of place'. While we don't know in detail the stones significance to our ancestors we can sense that the circles were once at the very heart of life for that society. Avebury dates back nearly 5000 years and is Britain's largest Neolithic Stone Circle. I find historic subjects very inspirational and like to think that someone might keep one of my cards to inspire them and remind them of a special day - they look very attractive when framed. I like to think of Avebury as the very heart of England and it speaks to me far more than its famous cousin 'Stonehenge'. I hope I have captured something of the quiet majesty of the stones.
