This delightful Quilt can be used in the cot or as a playmat. The Quilt is made of a 100% cotton and is fully washable. The main fabric is Modas, 'On The Go' and features little transport designs, including, fire engines, diggers and road signs. The centre of the blocks are machine quilted to secure the layers and add decoration.

I have used a large, yellow polka dot for the backing and sashing. The binding is bright red to compliment the bright, primary colours in the main fabric. The binding is handstitched on the reverse of the quilt and is double folded for durability. The sashing also has hand stitching, a little red running stitch for decoration and the securing of the layers.

The Quilt is both machine and hand quilted and has been washed and dried to give it that lovely vintage texture. It is one of a kind, I shall not make any others exactly the same and can be handed down through the family.

The Quilt measures 45 " x 30".

My inspiration usually comes from the fabric itself. In this case I fell in love with Modas 'Going Places', featuring all manner of transportation and road signs. The fabric is in lovely bright, primary colours and I can imagine it fitting in very well with nursery and playroom themes.
