The main birthstone of August and Leo is peridot, which I have represented here by Swarovski crystals of the same colour.
Tiger's eye is a Zodiac stone for Leo.
It is also a popular choice as a sacral chakra stone.
Tigers eye was worn by Roman soldiers, who believed it brought alertness, clarity and protection in battle.
It is considered a stone that enhances self-confidence and courage and vitality.
In the Chinese Zodiac, Tiger's Eye has special significance for those born in the Year of the Tiger.
These include 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022.
Green Aventurine is an accepted modern alternative birthstone for August.
Green Aventurine, like most green stones, is thought to bring inner peace, tranquility and enhance self-esteem.
It is sometimes called the the Stone of Luck, or the Gambler's stone, as it is believed that carrying a piece of Aventurine in the left pocket will attract wealth and good fortune.

This beautiful necklace in soft, woodland colours, is made from 6mm red Tiger's Eye and green Aventurine beads, graduating to a mix of 4mm polished and frosted green Aventurine with 4mm golden Tiger's Eye.
The red Tiger's Eye beads have lovely, rich mahogany colour, a silky lustre and typical flash of chatoyancy.
The Aventurine has a slightly waxy lustre, with a soft, light, sage green hue.
I have added 6mm and 4mm Swarovski crystal bicones in the colours 'fern' and 'peridot', highlighted with tiny gold vermeil beads, to add sparkle and shine to the necklace.
The necklace fastens with a Tibetan rose toggle clasp with an antique gold finish.
This clasp is nickel and lead free.
This necklace measures approximately 16 inches (41cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
