Butterflies are incredible how the seem to be so delicate and flutter in the sky, dependent on where the wind blows as to where they can land.
This stained glass butterfly has been made from green corella glass and amber texture glass for the wings and red corella glass for the body.
Each piece of glass has been copper foiled, then soldered soldered together with a generous bead of solder for additional strength. Wire has been twisted for the antenna and a ring attached for hanging purposes.
The butterfly measures 11 cms across by 9 cms excluding antenna. This would be lovely hanging in any window or even on a mirror, and they look especially good if hung in pairs or more. Did you know the collective noun for a group of butterflies is a kaleidoscope?
I will supply one sky hook with each suncatcher for hanging in the window.
This will be sent as a 1st class large letter in a box that will go through he letterbox so there is no need to worry about missing the postman.
