I have been driving home at night and been worried about how pedestrians can barely be seen, so I created this strap wrap. People may not want to wear a separate hi viz garment but if its attached to something they already have it would be more practical.

Full description
I used to collect a relative from the train station in the winter when the evenings are dark. So many commuters very quickly became invisible even though they were only a few metres away. It inspired me to make this hi viz strap wrap which you can attach around the long handle of of a bag you already have with you.
Be safe, be seen. I have sewn this hi viz strap wrap, made from a weather durable black fabric and a light reflecting strip.
The wrap measures approx 98cmx11cm.
It has a 3cm hi viz strip along the outside, you wrap it around the strap of a bag you use on a daily basis when you know you will be walking in the dark and need to be seen when crossing a road.
Car lights reflect the strip making you more visible to drivers.
The strap is held on by sections of hook and loop, and can wrap around a strap about 4cm wide. It is nearly 1 metre long so the high viz will cover the back and front of you if you wear your bag strap across the body.
This helps with the safety aspect of walking in the dark and it can be removed as and when you like.
The example bag used in the photo has a thin strap but the sturdiness of the hook and loop makes it fit nicely.
