Full description

And then in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,

The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

As I drew in my head and was turning around,

Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

Clement Clarke Moore

I love to make things that have a simple primitive feel a thing that has been around for a while.

This charming fellow is hand and machine stitched in un bleached calico, he has a needle sculptured and hand painted face. His dyed calico coat is trimmed in the front in a moss green vintage velvet and stained cream lace. Sitting down the front of his coat are four 1930s shirt buttons found in a flea market perfect for just this occasion. He carries in his arms a golden Christmas tree and a tiny pair of ice skates with red velvet ribbon trim (a gift for a lucky child), and a goose (because why not) with a Victorian bone button on it's wing.

A perfect heirloom gift for someone or just to add to your own festive collection.

St Nicholas measures: 49cm approx

N.B. this is not a toy and is unsuitalbe for small children.
