A Christmas stocking with something different; a winter bunny delivering presents! Made from Organic Cotton.

This handmade stocking features an original design of a lopped eared rabbit dressed in a patterned winter jumper of red and blue with a Santa hat to match. Surrounded by foliage; this little bun is ready to go with a big sack of presents.
The front of the stocking has been digitally printed on organic cotton, with the design of an original hand painted watercolour, with a mixed media pattern of red and green leaves decorating the toe and rim of the stocking. The stocking has then been sewn together with a natural cotton canvas backing and thinner calico lining, with a loop for hanging near the opening. The designer’s label is sewn on the back.

The piece really focuses on a natural feel with the soft watercolour tones against the untreated natural organic cotton tones.
Sizing 39cm in height and 18cm wide with an opening of 16cm approx.

I’ve been thinking of creating a stocking for a while now and well my first design had to be a rabbit, didn’t it?! I love this little snazzy jumper bun all dressed warmly for the season. The idea behind the artwork was creating a rabbit heading out to deliver Christmas presents to their woodland friends. And as we are Pattern Rabbit; the jumper was that perfect way of adding a bit of pattern to the design.

This piece was a true labour of love from the artwork to the making and would make a wonderful stocking for animal lovers, children, those looking for something different and of course, like me; those who love rabbits!
