Handmade sea glass jewellery & whimsical watercolour paintings of the Scottish seaside and its adorable wildlife. Based in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland, I create coastal-inspired gifts including jewellery, limited edition prints, cards, coasters, tea towels and more!
Delivery on most orders in the UK is £2.99. Orders of cards and coasters is £1.99.
All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans. Much of the seaglass dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.

A blue sea glass pendant, handmade jewellery from the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland.
The necklace has been wrapped in silver-plated wire with a sweet little wave. This pendant measures approximately 2.5cm high. It comes complete with a silver-plated 18" snake chain and gift box. (Item: 2768)
The glass has been reshaped and smoothed over decades of tumbling in the waves! Blue glass is rare, particularly at this size. It was commonly used in medicine (or poison!) bottles, which were traditionally made from thinner glass than beer or wine bottles. Therefore is tended to break into smaller fragments in the sea so large pieces like this are hard to find! This particular piece of sea glass has briefly been in a tumbler. Tumblers help to round off any sharp edges and give the sea glass a beautiful smooth surface.
