Full description
This is a 'Seconds' because I'm discontinuing the shape of the glassware the Cyanotype is applied to. It has slightly more tapered sides than the one pictured.
The distinctive silhouette of a Swallow resting on a branch is captured on this contemporary tea light holder. When the candle is lit the light flickers through bringing the image to life!
Created using the old photographic process of Cyanotype. A light sensitive solution is applied to a delicate textured paper, a large format negative laid on then exposed to sunlight, the solution is then rinsed off and the paper dried, fixing the image. To make these candle holders the paper is then applied to glass.
