applique & freehand embroidered zombie piglet notebook cover with A6 sketchbook inside.
this little piggy is not going to market. he’s gonna stay home for cuddles.
piglet is cut from blush pink cotton and hand dyed corpse grey cotton lawn. each piece of fabric is hand-cut, layered & appliqued onto cotton calico to build up the image, before “drawing” the intricate details – including the text - on freehand, using free motion embroidery.
pigs eyeball is hand embroidered.
there's no computerised wizardry here; each cover is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine.
it's entirely cut, stitched and handmade , with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the slipcover itself is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with interfacing.
the calico cover is washable and re-usable, simply replace the A6 sketchbook when it's full. the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK - quality casebound hard cover books, containing all-media cartridge paper.
