Full description
A textile picture made from strips of silk fabric depicting a choppy sea. The silk fabric in various colours has been needle felted to a piece of backing felt. Various other wool and silk fibres have been added in small amounts to blend the colours together, enhance the picture and add detail and texture. The process of needle felting the fabric and fibres creates a wonderful texture to the work and binds everything together, negating the need for any sewing.
The completed picture is available framed with a white card mount - the wooden frame measures approximately 15cm x 16cm, brass fittings and a hanging string have been added to the rear of the frame.
The picture size is 10cm x 10cm.
Please note: the photographs have been taken with the glass removed from the frame to avoid unwanted reflections.
