The background fabric for the card has been printed using rusty objects. They are rolled up in the fabric and boiled so the pattern transfers onto the fabric and it is then thoroughly washed and dried before using. These backgrounds are perfect for embroidering onto, and I often draw inspiration for my embroidery from my garden and during my daily walks in the beautiful New Forest.

Full description
This beautiful card has been embroidered by hand onto rust printed fabric. The embroidery is of little blue flowers and each flower has a cluster of tiny glass seed beads in the centre. The fabric has been hand-dyed and the rust elements in the water give the fabric a beautiful orange tan colour - perfect for a special Autumn card or perhaps framing it as it is. It has been mounted on a card base and is surrounded by an embossed square. The card has been left blank for your own message.
Please note this is a unique item that has been hand made. The colours may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
It measures 12cm x 12cm square and will arrive in a protective cellophane bag and board backed sturdy envelope. It will be posted 2nd class signed for. If you would like more than one item or would prefer 1st class postage please contact me for shipping costs before paying - I only charge the actual postage paid.
