I'm obsessed with old postage stamps, and the hidden stories they have carried. Rummaging through my collection always brings up new gems that would otherwise lie forgotten & unseen. These keyrings are the perfect vehicle to showcase some wonderful stamp designs that really are little works of art in their own right. Carry a little history in your pocket!

Full description

Made with a real used postage stamp, this is a unique and somewhat meta keyring! Illustrating the journey of a letter, it is a lovely small gift idea for penpals, letter writers and philatelists alike (also a nice compact letterbox-friendly size for posting)!

FEATURE STAMP DETAILS

- A genuine used postage stamp is trimmed & hand-pressed into the silvertone metal keyring casing

- Postmark placement will vary every time guaranteeing nobody else will ever own a keyring quite like yours!

- This stamp was issued in South Africa circa 1975

- The photogravure printed design celebrates the new automatic mail sorting system and shows a stamped envelope acquiring a postmark to continue its journey through the mail

KEYRING DETAILS

- The keyring 'frame' measures approx. 2.9 x 4.2cm. The full length including split ring measures approx. 8.5cm

- The frame is made of a sturdy silver metal substrate with a durable, transparent acrylic 'window'

- Each keyring comes with a small card which provides details of the feature stamp's country of origin & date of issue along with basic care instructions

PACKAGING DETAILS

- Packaged in cellophane packet as standard

- Upgrade to add a tiny tinplate metal tin that can be used for future storage as well as gifting

- Tin is decorated with a print from one of my original postage stamp collages. The print colours will loosely match the colour theme of your keyring
