Large Handmade Ceramic Mug - Midnight Blue Humpback Whale
Thrown on the potters wheel in strong white stoneware with a hand pressed humpback whale and strap handle.
This mug is being sold as a second in the Super Seconds Festival with 50% OFF the retail price. The glaze finish has a few pinholes and as it pooled at the base had to be ground off - this mug didn't make it through my quality check 100% but is still a fully functional and beautiful piece.
Fired to 1250 degrees with a gorgeous midnight blue glaze to enhance the majestic humpback whale. The whale has been hand carved in relief and glazed to evoke swimming through the ocean. The inner glaze is a vintage white to enhance the cups throwing rings.
7.5cm tall and 10.5cm in diameter plus the handle, it's a whopping 450ml cuppa!
Food safe and microwave safe, and although dishwasher safe it is always best to wash handmade items by hand.
