As always.... just rinse and wipe to best care for a wood spoon. Don't leave it soaking in hot dishwater or destroy it in a dishwasher machine...it doesn't enjoy or need such zeal. Every now and then (probably once a month when in daily use), I rub some culinary linseed or walnut oil into it when it has dried to replenish the wood.
They darken up over time and take on a friendly familiar personality.

A serving spoon handcarved from Almond wood, fallen in the winterstorms in a local arboretum
The spoon is about 11 inches long and has a bowl about 2 1/2 inches across. Ideal for serving, stiring or just for having at in the kitchen.
The handle has a few chipcarved flecks to brighten things up.
Finished with culinary grade linseed oil.
