Full description
This mini landscape has been created by manipulating glass powder on a piece of background glass. I chose the white and orange streaky art glass for the base as it gives a perfect impression of a sunset sky. The glass powder used is a very dark brown, with a purple tone, and gives a wonderful old sepia tint to the image. I carefully manipulated the glass powder by hand to create the scene of trees reflected in the still water, and then the piece was fired in my kiln to melt the powder onto the glass and give it a shiny finish.
The tile measures 10cm square and comes with the acrylic stand as shown in the photos for immediate display on a shelf or windowsill. If desired, it could be mounted into a frame for wall hanging or incorporated into a tiled area using silicone adhesive.
