Hello and welcome to my shop.
I've always loved making things and worked as a Graphic Designer for over twenty years. Nowadays I experiment with fabric, paints, embroidery, beads and collage. I particularly enjoy combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, unique mixed media pieces.

A contemporary twist on a cabinet of curiosities! Inspired by the iridescent plumage of the kingfisher, this one-of-a-kind, quirky artwork will brighten up any wall.
The shadow box frame contains an assemblage of lots of little treasures. Nine mdf squares have been decorated with layers of acrylic paint, papers from old books, batik and a section of Indian embroidery. Other items on display include a section from a pretty vintage playing card, Czech glass beads, a verdigris Mykonos metal charm and a round, painted clay tile.
The area inside the mount measures 25x25cm and the outer edges of the frame are 32x32cm. The depth is 3cm. The frame has glass at the front and a small hanging hook at the back.
NB. The photos have been shot without the glass to avoid reflection.
