All orders are sent via 1st Class Royal Mail standard service. The postage costs applied reflect the protective packaging used to ensure your Utterly Pottery goodies arrive in tip top condition. Therefore, should you place an order rest assured, it will arrive beautifully wrapped and protected topped off with colourful tissue paper. Where possible I reuse and recycle plastic bubble wrap as I find it offers the best protection for my handmade and handpainted ceramics.
I’m always happy to add a handwritten gift note if you’d like to send the order directly to the recipient. Please include the message as you check out.

The lockdown periods of 2020-2021 meant a lot more time spent at home. A slight obsession with house plants began as I tried to bring more of the natural world inside my home.
An observation of the colour and form of house plant leaves in combination with my love of geometrical patterns led to this range of botanical designs.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
Individually hand painted in a geometric design, each coaster represents a well loved house plant. A row of 3D coloured dots around the rim adds the final flourish. The botanical Latin plant name is handwritten around the edge as a nod to Darwin’s style of recording plants.
Each coaster has been painted using a wide range of realistic tones of underglaze before being dipped in a clear glossy transparent glaze and kiln fired. Silicone stoppers are applied to back of each coaster to prevent any surface scratches.
Each coaster is approximately 11cm in diameter and 0.8cm thick (Total height off the surface is approx. 1.4cm including the silicone stoppers)
Due to the hand painted nature of the design no two are ever the same
