I'm obsessed with old postage stamps, but this iconic British stamp design holds a special place in my heart as it is the one I grew up with. It has been around since before I was born, first issued in the 1960s, with its reign finally ending in 2022. These oversized versions of the stamp are far less common but perfectly sized to create these keyring souvenirs of what will very soon be another bygone era.

Full description
Carry an icon of British postal history wherever you go, with this upcycled keyring framing a real vintage stamp, in your choice of colour. The classic Machin definitive featuring an iconic profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II has been issued in a rainbow of colours since the 1960s - these oversized issues from the 1970s-1980s are less common but carry the same iconic image. A wonderful souvenir of what is now a bygone era!
KEYRING DETAILS
- A real used vintage stamp is trimmed & hand-pressed into the silvertone metal keyring casing casing (postmark placement will vary every time)
- Choose from 5 different options: Olive (1977), Brown (1977), Dark Blue (1977), Greenish Blue (1983), and Charcoal (1986)
- The keyring 'frame' measures approx. 2.9 x 4.2cm. The full length including split ring measures approx. 8.5cm
- The frame is made of a sturdy silver metal substrate with a durable, transparent acrylic 'window'
- Each keyring comes with a small card which provides details of the feature stamp's country of origin & date of issue along with basic care instructions
PACKAGING DETAILS
- Packaged in cellophane packet as standard
- Upgrade to add a tiny tinplate metal tin that can be used for future storage as well as gifting
- Tin is decorated with a print from one of my original postage stamp collages. The print colours will loosely match the colour theme of your keyring
