Inspiration for this painting was taken from a very early misty, winter morning walk through the woods at Calke abbey, I walk there often and every time there is something different to see and I really wanted to capture the timelessness of the ancient woodland there.

Full description
Painting in acrylic on stretched canvas of a woodland scene based loosely on a walk I took through the woods at Calke Abbey on misty winter morning when the wonderful ancient trees looked so ethereal.
The painting is an original artwork painted in cool blue acrylic paint with textural marks to define the main trunk of the old sweet chestnut tree on the right hand side and the foliage of the foreground and signed by myself, the artist.
The painting measures approximately 30cm wide x 40cm high and comes strung ready to hang.
Your painting will be posted via Royal Mail, tracked and signed for.
