I wanted to make a small, handy tote bag which you could just put a few essentials in like phone, keys, purse etc., however the bag and fabric are so cute it would make a lovely outing bag for that late summer picnic or barbecue!

A small Tote Bag made from Vintage Fabric and 100% Pure Silk
The outer glazed chintz fabric of the Tote is called 'Ferdinand' by GP and J Baker (from 1987) which features a cheeky pink parrot set amongst generous pink and blue blooms and soft green leaves on a fresh yellow background.
The inside of the Tote is lined with 100% pure silk dupion in a gorgeous rose pink, for that touch of luxury. There is a handy pocket on one side (made from the outer fabric) and a gold-coloured magnetic clasp so you can close the bag.
The dimensions are: 30 cm wide (at the widest point) and 27 cm at the narrowest top point, 26 cm tall with handles which are 16 cm tall.
