I have taught some bookbinding classes, to adults and children. Notebooks have been a popular thing to make and children especially love to make books that they can then use themselves. On the children's courses, the kids made piles of books and used up all my ribbons, stickers and rubber stamps, decorating their books!
These little kits would make good presents for children to play with in the school holidays, or on a rainy weekend. These small notebooks are especially suitable for primary school age children - help may be needed from an older person - but they can be made by anyone, even grown-ups!
The instructions can be re-used to make more notebooks (but please don't copy them, as I worked hard to write them and they are copyrighted, thanks!)
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Standard returns policy applies to this item, except when a customised label has been purchased and attached to the book. If the book has a customised printed label, the book is then not eligible for return, unless it is faulty. However, if there should be a problem with your order, do contact me and I will do my best to resolve it to your satisfaction.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
A craft kit with materials and instructions to make two little A7 notebooks, with kraft covers and ribbon-tied bindings. No sewing involved. Great for primary school aged children.

This kit is specially designed for younger children, though it can be made by someone of any age. It needs no pins or needles, just a pair of scissors and a pencil.
Smaller children would need help with the instructions and possibly with marking, cutting and tying the knot & bow, but they should be able to try everything themselves, even if they need support.
The covers are deliberately bright and each is a different colour. The pages are kraft paper, because I thought that would be more interesting than white paper.
KIT CONTAINS:
- Coloured Card Covers for two A7 notebooks
- Brown kraft paper for two notebooks
- Template for marking cutting lines
- Two pieces of 3mm ribbon to tie the books
- Sticky pre-cut labels for personalisation
Also needed are scissors and a sharp pencil (and probably an older person to help)
The kit is contained in a handy box and there are clear and detailed instructions, with photos.
