A large fabric storage basket made from vintage fabrics.

This storage basket has been made using Vintage Laura Ashley fabrics. The outer fabric, from 1979, is called 'Bramble Berry' and features sprays of blue flowers and berries set on a rich, emerald green background.

The inner fabric is a vintage Laura Ashley checked linen from the 1980s in complementary blues and creams. The basket has been trimmed with a pom-pom braid in a deep, navy blue.

Both fabrics have been interfaced to provide good structure to the basket, although it can be collapsed flat if required (it will be posted flat).

The basket measures approximately 20 cm high (not including the turned down rim which measures 3 cm), 27 cm wide by 13 cm deep.

I found a small piece of this vintage Bramble Berry Laura Ashley fabric recently in my local charity shop - it had obviously been kept very carefully since 1979 as the colours are still so strong and vibrant! Couldn't resist pairing it with another piece of vintage Laura Ashley which my daughter's mother-in-law had been storing in her lock-up since the 1980s and has now kindly donated to me!
