Inspired by the Mexican festival 'Day of the Dead' here is Rosa Muerta ready for the celebrations.
She is wearing a sugar skull mask, red dress trimmed with cream lace and red ribbon. Roses in her black hair. Let the dancing begin!
Her body is made from wool core needle felted into a shape. Soft unspun wool fibre with a has been lightly needle felted for her dress. I've given her black hair made from dyed wool locks. Her sugar skull mask is a large button. Beads are sewn onto her dress. Glued onto a star shaped wood slice for stability.
She measures 6 ins / 15 cm tall.
All my dolls are different. Such fun to collect and display.
She is not a toy and is for decoration only. Not to be given to children due to internal wires and fragile nature of the wool. Please keep away from all children and pets.
The button I've used for her mask I purchased from Folksy Seller Zouzou Design.
