For this attractive pendant I have combined the beauty of sterling silver with colourful titanium, reminiscent of a sea view. Titanium displays an attractive range of shades which really come to life when the light hits it.
The colouring process makes this pendant unique and one of a kind which means that no one else will have one that is identical.
I have handmade this beautiful pendant necklace by creating a sterling silver soldered hoop and giving it a hammered finish before polishing. I have then suspended a hand sawed titanium disc to which I have given a line hammered finish before colouring.
The pendant measures approximately 25 mm across and is hung on an 18 inch sterling silver chain.
The silver can be carefully cleaned with silver polish or a jewellery cleaning cloth. Titanium is a hard wearing lightweight metal suitable for every day wear, however care should be taken not to scratch the surface as the colours are contained in an oxidised surface layer. Titanium doesn't tarnish however if you wish to clean it you can do so in warm soapy water, without using any abrasives and dry with a soft cloth.
