Sometimes less is more….. and sometimes more is more. There’s no denying that this hatpin, featuring a finest-quality 20mm diameter acrylic pearl bead, is a bit of a scene-stealer.

The finish on this outsized bead is flawless; smooth, glossy, and glassy. Finding a large faux pearl bead of this quality was possibly my trickiest bead-sourcing mission of all; but the time and effort were well worth it, for this bead is quite splendid. It seemed appropriate to complement it with a whimsical crown-like collar, and then to let it just speak for itself; which it does, quietly, confidently, and regally.

The nickel-plated stainless steel pin (total length 13.5cm including the beaded section) is of the finest strength and quality, and will not bend or break under pressure. These pins are manufactured exclusively for me at one of England’s oldest and most respected steel mills, and are quite simply peerless. The pin is supplied with a matching protector, to cover the sharp point.

Supplied elegantly gift-boxed, and mailed in eco-friendly outer packaging.

High-quality large acrylic pearl beads aren't readily available; but I had for years been searching for the perfect outsized synthetic pearl bead, to take the old favourite and classic "pearl bead hatpin" to a whole new level.
Eventually my efforts paid off, and I found the perfect pairing of size and quality in this remarkable acrylic bead. The bead itself simply commanded attention, and even a little awe.
The crown-shaped collar bead just seemed appropriate, for such a regal bead; and yet also whimsical, as this is, after all, just an acrylic bead (albeit with ideas above its station!)
