About this item
Unusual bracelet featuring three rough cut, semi-translucent, flat rectangles of Tourmaline in amber and green-clear hues. I have separated the rectangles with tiny, faceted mixed Tourmaline beads and flanked them with a trio of sparkly Swarovski crystals in the colours 'jonquil', 'fire opal', and 'peridot'. Hematite tubes and rounds culminate in a sweet Tibetan heart-shaped toggle clasp with a gold finish. The clasp is nickel and lead free. This pretty bracelet measures approximately 6.76 inches (17cm). The bracelet will be delivered wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag. Price includes delivery within the UK.

Tourmaline has been used for a long time, but has mostly been confused with other gemstones due to its wide variety of colours - green with emeralds, red with ruby etc. It was only in the 1800's that scientists recognised Tourmaline as a distinct mineral species. Tourmaline occurs in more colours and colour-combinations than any other group of minerals. Tourmaline is associated with the Zodiac sign Leo and the month of August. Leo is ruled by the Sun and the element Fire. I have chosen three Swarovski crystals, in 'peridot', 'fire opal' and 'jonquil', to sit alongside the Tourmaline, to represent Leo's traditional birthstone, Fire and The Sun.
