I used a pattern from an older book I had to knit the cardigan using a modern speckled yarn.

Full description
This cardigan is hand knitted in a speckled acrylic yarn. It is knitted in a rib pattern throughout. It has a ribbed collar and fastens up to the neck with five green buttons.
The 100% acrylic yarn is white with green, yellow, blue and turquoise speckles and is machine washable.
The pattern size is for a 6-12 month old baby. It measures 52cm round the chest, 29cm in length and the underarm sleeve length is 19cm.
