I have used this beautiful Swarovski crystal heart and matching bicones to symbolise Ruby, the modern birthstone for the month of July and the Zodiac sign of Cancer.
Although the modern birthstone for July and Cancer is Ruby, the July birthstone in ancient Rome was Onyx, and in Arabic nations was Carnelian.
I have incorporated Carnelian and Black Onyx beads into the design, making this a perfect gift for those born in July or under the sign of Cancer.
Ruby is also the stone for the 40th wedding anniversary, so this would be an ideal gift for a Ruby Wedding anniversary.

Full description
This glittering necklace features a beautiful, 14mm, Swarovski crystal heart as a centrepiece.
The heart is a ruby-red colour, faceted, with an aurora borealis coating on the back that makes it super-sparkly.
I have set the heart between a trio of 4mm Swarovski 'ruby' and 'white opal' bicones and a pair of 4mm black Onyx beads, highlighted with tiny gold vermeil spacer beads.
The necklace is made of 6mm beads of frosted Carnelian, polished black Onyx and frosted white Jade, graduating to 4mm beads of polished Carnelian, black Onyx and frosted white Jade.
I have added a few more Swarovski crystal 'ruby' bicones and gold vermeil spacers for extra sparkle and shine.
A decorative pair of Tibetan-style gold beads flank the gold plated bail.
These are nickel and lead free.
The piece is fastened with a gold vermeil trigger clasp.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with gold, and the clasp is stamped '925'.
This gorgeous necklace measures approximately 17 inches (43cm)
