All my items are made by myself, with a lot of patience and love. I can do commissions using polymer clay, little dragons, necklaces, fairy doors or wands, so please email for details.

Postage is given for deliveries to England, Wales and Scotland, which will be sent via Royal Mail. Due to Covid and given new Brexit trading rules, and delays in delivery, for any international or Northern Irish orders please get in touch and we can discuss the price and likely timescales involved.

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description

The Luttrell Psalter was written in the first half of the 14th century. Painted in rich colours, and embellished in gold and silver, it is one of the most striking to survive from the Middle Ages. Alongside these realistic scenes, there are many bizarre and wonderful beasts. These so-called 'grotesques' are hybrid monstrosities that may combine a human head, an animal/fish/bird body, and a plant tail.

This felt bookmark is based on one such beast in the manuscript. It measures 15.5cm by 4.5cm, and is 0.3cm thick. Attached to the top is a cream coloured tassel which measures 14cm, and is removable.

The design features a bird creature with a vine-like tail. It is wearing a snail shell hat, and the wing is textured to simulate the markings in the original manuscript. The design was digitised by myself, and then turned into an embroidery design. The threads used are superior quality cotton threads with a variegated appearance, meaning that no two bookmarks are the same.

The bookmark comes in a biodegradable, recyclable or compostable acetate packaging to keep it clean. On the enclosed card there is information about the design in case it is a gift for someone else.
