Happy new year! We hope that 2025 is a good one for all of our customers. Our shop is currently quite depleted but the new sewing machine will soon be in action and new stock will be added as it is made. Send a message if you're looking for something in particular.
Sadly, given the new regulations, we are no longer able to sell to customers in Northern Ireland.
In this shop you will find a variety of household items and gifts, mostly with an Eco-focus - things that can be used and reused without costing the planet or emptying your wallet. We use up scraps, repurpose materials and prioritise natural new materials. We love colour and our products are attractive, environmentally friendly and useful. We don’t want to be preachy - just to make things that are a pleasure to use.

Again I’m looking for new ways to avoid plastics. Soap is so much cheaper than shower gel, lasts longer and does a good job.

Do you remember soap-on-a-rope. A great idea for ensuring your soap is readily accessible when you’re showering. The only trouble was that after a little use it generally became soap AND a rope, as the damp soap detached itself from the rope.
These crochet soap bags will do a similar job without letting you down. You can fill the bag with scraps of soap or a new bar. Hang it up in the shower and when it’s time to wash, simply lather the soap bag in your hands and rub it over your body. The lathering will build up over the first few uses. After your shower simply squeeze any excess water from the bag and soap and hang it up to dry.
Soap bags are a great way to use up scraps of soap and they help you use less plastic by moving from shower gel to soap bars. Being easier to get hold of, they are great for kids in the bath and the textured, soft cotton does a gentle cleaning and exfoliating job on your skin.
